Inmarsat bgan
Satellite modems can provide up to 492kb/s Background IP plus voice ,fax and
Streaming data. The systems are portable with some vehicle variants
possible. Maritime and Aeronautical systems are also available. Coverage is
now complete. The Asia Pacific satellite began service on 25 February
local time.
