Configurations for Maximum Flexibility
The STORM terminal can be used in a number of alternative
configurations, to maximise its flexibility and effectiveness across a
range of applications.
|
Tandem
STORMs for 128k
To achieve ISDN connection speeds of 128kbs/s, two STORM terminals can
be simply connected in tandem without the need for any other external
equipment - making full use of STORM's unique built-in ISDN Bonding
capability. This saves thousands of dollars for Inverse multiplexers. |
|
Antenna Mast
Antenna Masts can be purpose-built, for mounting antennas
externally. Especially useful if you are going to be at one location for
a certain amount of time, and you would find it more convenient to mount
the antennas on the wall of the building or shelter. The mast can carry
two antennas, for situations when STORM terminals are being used in
tandem for high-speed operation at 128kbs/s. |
|
The
Mobile Office
Establishing a completely flexible office facility while working away
from your usual environment is a straightforward practicality. A totally
integrated multi-user configuration is simple to achieve, using multiple
laptops plus switching and routing capabilities, as well as ancillary
equipment such as POTS phones for maximum on-site mobility.
|
Dial
on Demand Routing
A STORM or CYCLONE terminal can provide a highly-useful Dial on Demand facility,
enabling multiple PCs to communicate with a remote ISP or corporate LAN,
by utilising a Cisco 1603 Series Router connected to the terminal's ISDN
port.

The STORM and CYCLONE terminals are compatible with a wide range of
equipment, enabling proven integrated solutions to be configured for a
variety of applications. See the Vocality page for more. |
